depart family trees while on route to infamy as what has metastasized is quite the cloy disguise. deploy foreign wars to revamp terror support escape eyes that spy hands clasp doors to pry. you’re planting flags of triumph in mountaintops of trailoff to rewrite the narrative to keep the past elusive. should one find oneself a paragon of moral wealth to find peers to collaborate to better help to obfuscate and overelaborate the size you should become clear to ghouls you wish to hear the whistles for the dogs the gristle for the hogs. planting propaganda in the texts of bailouts reset the agenda keep the plots diffusive. yes you’ve been understood there ain’t no apathy when you amass a mob to burn an effigy. no we have not mistook your animosity for another ugly form of anxious energy. overcooked the goose ships sunk lips were loose beat street scram vamoose or else put up the dukes. take all civic pride erased gentrified what they can’t pervert will fully invert. as if you understood there ain’t no agony no quite the opposite we’ve grown affinity. you’re right there’s jouissance not in the day to day it’s found in atrophy in watching you decay. this ain’t the afterbirth goddamnit it’s the resurrection of every crooked line been swallowed everything we’ve been afraid of as one more salving for another round of knives to numb all our pain before our blood dries.
I am kicking myself for being so late to this band. I found out about them from their HIRS collaboration and went straight to this album, oh my godddd it is incredible. My turntable stays at 45RPM because I keep putting this one back on. Keep pushing yall. Trillis Schlafly
A perfect punk album. What always amazes me is that it's littered with melodies and lyrics good enough on their own to build an entire song around, but Captain We're Sinking has so many great ideas, they don't need to stretch any single one beyond its welcome. This will have you coming back over and over again. John Martin
